1957 Jaguar XK 140

This Jaguar 4-1/2L engine was rebuilt for this beautiful 1957 Jaguar XK 140 owned by Beth Barden & Tony Dehner.  It had suffered dropping a valve that went through the top of the piston.  We were able to weld up and restore the combustion chamber, install new valve seats & valves, bore the block .020" overbore and save this number matching engine in time for the 2009 Lexington Keenland Concours d'Elegance.

AMC 360cid

Bore 4.140, stroke 3.440, compression ratio is 9:1.  It is equipped with Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads topped off with Edelbrock's Pro-Flow Electronic Fuel Injection.  It has a Competition Cams hydraulic camshaft 224/231-112 @ 0.050", CV Products hardened push rods, and Scorpion aluminum roller rocker arms.  The bottom end consists of the stock AMC rotating assembly, ACL engine bearings, Milodon oil pan with oiling modifications throughout the engine.  This engine was custom built for Steve and Laura Drewel of Athens, TX to be installed into their 1977 Jeep CJ7 for extreme off road applications.  Steve and Laura have become good friends.  They operate S & L Transport Co. and were a great help moving my machinery into my current shop.  Thanks Steve and Laura.  This engine should have more than enough power and torque to maneuver a jeep in and around any type of terrain.
